APCMS 2009: Presentation by Professor Jacob George

Professor Jacob George’s presentation for the 2009 APCMS conference entitled, “The Liver and The Metabolic Syndrome,” highlights one of the more recently linked co-morbidities associated with the metabolic syndrome. Here he discusses why the liver develops fat and why the organ becomes damaged in the presence of a fatty environment.
