Cardiovascular disease remains the biggest cause of death in Australia and obesity levels are among the highest in the world. Increasing BMI is also a major public health issue across the Pacific islands and increasingly so in Asia.

Baker IDI Heart & Diabetes Institute and Elsevier are hosting the second APCMS providing a forum for the exchange of ideas and for discussion around the clinical and practical issues, diagnosis, treatment and prevention of cardio-metabolic disease. This event looks at the clinical implications for healthcare professionals, providing opportunities to discuss with and listen to experts and colleagues involved in patient management. It will provide an excellent learning and networking experience for all attendees.

This activity has been accredited by the RACGP as a Category 1 activity for 40 QI&CPD points.
